Part D – DUTIES OWED TO MEMBERS

4.Women In Law owes a duty of care to its members to create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment that facilitates the exchange of information and knowledge related to the legal field between WIL members. This is undertaken by:

A.Monitoring the conversations and associated conduct of members in WIL;

B.Reviewing members conduct when violations or complaints arise, and issuing a warning where necessary; and

C.Removing members who violate the Code and create or contribute to an unsafe, unwelcoming environment.

5.Please be aware that as outlined in Part C “Duties Owed to the Company” 3(N), any breach of the rules may, at the sole discretion of the Company, result in removal from WIL.

6.Women In Law will ensure each Member maintains access to WIL by facilitating payments, and notifying members of changes to membership fees (refer to Part E “Payments & Refunds” for further details). Membership will continue as long as the Member expresses interest and upholds the Code and the Company is active.

7.At our discretion we reserve the right to reject new members. Any new member who is rejected will be reimbursed within the first week of payment, and notified immediately. Please see Part E “Payments & Refunds” 14, for further details.

8.If you have a concern or complaint regarding your own conduct in WIL, please privately message Head of Women In Law, Laura Reynaud via WhatsApp or email.

9.Please note, once a decision has been made regarding the termination of a member’s membership, we do not allow for appeals. Members found to violate the Code and whose memberships are terminated as a result will not be permitted to rejoin WIL in future.

Part E – PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

10.Membership fees are subject to change. Only annual membership fees are available. For further details on membership fees and pricing, please see our Memberships page on our website.

11.Changes to pricing are effective immediately. If you already have a subscription with us, the new membership pricing will apply when your current billing cycle ends, and your new one starts.

12.All membership payments are final. You will have the choice to engage in an annual automatic roll-over membership subscription. At the end of each payment cycle, you will be automatically charged for your next term.

13.Given the nature of the membership and intellectual property you will be privy to as a member of WIL, no refunds will be permitted.

14.The only exception to our no refunds policy, is if the Company rejects you as a new member of the group. If you are rejected, you will be notified immediately and your membership fee will be reimbursed within the first 7 days of your payment. Please see Part D “Duties Owed to Members” 7.

15.If you would like to cease your membership, please inform us at laura.reynaud@uaewomeninlaw.com, at least 30 days prior to your plan’s renewal date. Please note:

A.If you choose to cease your membership, your plan will terminate at the end of that billing cycle. As such, you will not be reimbursed any excess payment for that cycle.

B.If you choose to rejoin WIL after ceasing your membership, the membership fee may be different to the fee you paid when first joining WIL.

C.If you are removed from WIL, you will forfeit your membership payment for that billing cycle. You will also be removed from the billing list.
